Eddie Money Concert Delayed Due To Heat

Labor Day concert moves from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Expected extreme high temperatures for Labor Day prompted a decision by The 152nd Oregon State Fair to push the Eddie Money concert into the evening.

The September 4 concert was scheduled for 4:00 p.m.; it will now be staged at 8:00 p.m. the same day. The 8:00 p.m. concert is free with paid Fair admission. People who purchased advanced reserved VIP seats for Eddie Money will receive a full refund, and will get free admission to the fair.

More Eddie Money Concert Details

Monday, September 4 is Heroes Day at the Oregon State Fair. The decision to delay the concert was inspired by the people the Fair is honoring – those who’ve committed their lives to public safety. Fair officials are wary of the high temperature predicted to exceed 100 degrees. Moving the Eddie Money concert back four hours means concert goers will avoid the hottest part of the day. The amphitheater is in full shade by 8:00 p.m., and temperatures will be expected to be in a more comfortable and safe range.

The Oregon State Fair thanks Eddie Money for his willingness to adjust travel plans to accommodate this schedule change.
